BEETHOVEN

Leonore Overture No. 3
Ah, Perfido!
Symphony No. 9

In Schiller’s poem Ode to Joy, “All men become brothers under Joy’s gentle wings.” The peak of Beethoven’s artistry, his 9th Symphony speaks to the masses: symbolizing hope, unity and human kindness. Beethoven was unable to hear the thunderous applause he inspired, but with this monumental work, he transformed the symphony into a universal experience.
